Need studio space?

It is that time of year again. The Stutz Artists Association has announced their newest round of Stutz Artists Residency Scholarships for 2008. This is your chance to get free studio space in the Stutz for a year. Everyone needs some studio space and from what I hear people have enjoyed their residency experiences. Though the big downside to all of this would be having to move again once the residency is over. Needless to say, but I hate moving. Then again, FREE STUDIO SPACE. Past recipients of the residency include David Kleeman, Kate Oberreich, Kevin Smola, Ismaila “Izo” Nidaye, Stephanie Robertson, Larry Endicott, Kyle Ragsdale, Jan Zoya, Susan Watt Grade, Emily Kennerk and Greg Hull. Not a bad roster of artists. Though I do feel that the Stutz building could make some improvements on public accessibility of the studios but for those of you who want to hunker down (never thought I would use the word hunker) in private for a year then you will be most at home. From their press release:

"Visual artists working in any medium may apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and live in Marion our one of the contiguous counties. Applications and more information are available at www.stutzartists.com."
Deadline for the application for the Stutz Artists Residency is June 8th. Don't be a procrastinator, try and get your application in early.
