Danke Schoen
New Work by Kyle Ragsdale
Harrison Center for the Arts

The Harrison Center for the Arts presents Danke Schoen, new work by Creative Renewal Fellowship grant recipient, Kyle Ragsdale. This exhibition launches the annual Spirit & Place Festival, this year titled “Living Generously.” The show is also the culmination of Ragsdale’s creative renewal fellowship. The grant enabled him to travel to Germany where he spent time with Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Music Director, Mario Venzago. Ragsdale and Venzago met earlier this year and have each been inspired by the other’s work. Danke Schoen hangs through December 1st.

In addition to the gallery opening, there will be a dessert pitch-in (potluck) in the Harrison Center’s gymnasium. Participants are invited to bring something that begins with the first letter of their name, i.e. Lorraine brings lemon bars and Bob brings brownies. German-inspired food, accordion music and polka dancing round out the evening.

Also on view at the newly-opened Unusual Animals Project Space at the Harrison Center is Cascades, an installation by Cindy Hinant.

The Harrison Center for the Arts is located at 1505 North Delaware Street in Indianapolis.
