Scary Indy arts moment...
Do you like this story?
I ran into an artist acquaintance on the Avenue yesterday. A painter in her low to mid 30s, has been involved in a few shows and has received grants to practice her work overseas. I had my glossy new Artforum in hand when she pointed at it and said "oh that looks like a neat magazine, can I take a look at it?" She had never heard of Artforum!!!!
And still so close to Halloween, scary indeed.

You know, I never actually get around to buying and reading Cabinet. Maybe someday I will.

Actually, I don't really like it that much. Kind of...random.

Are you trying to pretend that you've heard of Parkett?

Is that directed towards moi??? I used to skip a few lunches back in the day just so I could afford it. Favorite issue is #64 - Rodney Graham and Olafur Eliasson!!!

Parkett, the only art magazine that I am forced to read at the library. If only I could afford my own copy to read at home.
