Little changes here at OtC
Do you like this story?
*** UPDATE - this was working fine last night on my Mac on Firefox 2.0, I guess that didn't translate to Explorer. We're working on it!
We are hoping for big changes soon, until then, we have updated some links on our side bar. Partly inspired by Tyler Green and partly inspired by travel, blogs are being organized by location and activity. Personally, before I go to any new city, I search out contemporary art blogs to narrow what I want to see. I highly recommend this as I have had much success. This list is also morphing and will be updated often. Two glaring omissions that will be fixed soon are Miami and LA. I promise that will change soon, and more international blogs coming too.
At the bottom, we have also online Zines and other reference sources.
God bless google, but it is our goal to have a "Google-Ad Free Zone" and yet still bring you the content and accessibility you deserve. We hope these minor modifications are helpful until we can completely update our site.

It looks fine on Firefox 2.0. Don't know what's up with other browsers, we'll figure it out.

in your Indy Gallery links you left out many folks. Is this purposely? Are the listed ones only those which you feel are worthy?
Equal time for all Indy galleries, even the smallest and dirtiest of them, I say!

All the links seen are typically curated to some degree. As far as Indy galleries are concerned some locations I have just not gotten around to adding (though I did add some tonight) but On the Cusp has a slant towards "contemporary art" which may leave a few places off the list. If there are some locations that people feel show contemporary art work, act as a regular gallery venue, and have rotating shows of works by a number of artists then please let us know and we will consider adding them.
In an attempt to keep things somewhat focused we have not tryed to be all inclusive. It just happens that issues of what is a gallery and what venues show work as part of another business always comes up and makes decisions a bit harder. Do we add a link to Borders or a coffee shop because they have rotating shows of art? Things would be too hard to follow and to congested to read. So we have to make decisions what to add and what to leave off and I hope we are actually doing this well. But keep an eye out over the next 2 months as we are going through some redesigning which you may have started to notice.
Hope that helps.
