Weekend Preview

Lots of openings last weekend. This weekend put on your thinking caps and as always, let me know what I've missed and I will update.

Wednesday

- iMOCA 101 - Photography, Appropriation & Identity: Cindy Sherman & Yasumasa Morimura. 5:30 to 6:30 pm at iMOCA. Free.

Thursday

- IMA - My Daily Constitution Open Meeting Invitation. This Thursday at the IMA.
Please RSVP by Wednesday February 8 at 5:00 p.m. to rhennessey@ima-art.org or
317-923-1331 x 477.

With your input, Los Angeles-based artist Linda Pollack will develop a
tailor-made program for Indianapolis centered on interpreting the U.S.
Constitution through active, collective dialogue. My Daily Constitution
treats a city as an integrated being, layered with relationships,
history and future expectations about citizenship, law, and politics.
In the last three years, My Daily Constitution has successfully occurred
in New York City, Seattle, Cincinnati and Los Angeles. (See
http://www.mydailyconstitution.org). The project consists of public
dialogues in unexpected locations, and other program formats. Free
artist-designed copies of the Constitution are distributed.

Saturday

- If anyone wants to take me to Stomp at the Murat, I'm free. I realize this show went from hip to pedestrian faster than a Ferrari, but I still think I would enjoy myself.

Tuesday, February 14th

- Herron - Sue Johnson, Installation Artist, speaks at Herron Basile Auditorium at 7 pm

Sue Johnson is a Professor of Art and the Steven Muller Distinguished Professor of the Arts, and has been teaching at St. Mary's College since 1993. She teaches courses in painting, drawing, printmaking, combined media, book arts, scientific illustration and 2-D foundations.

Take a date, make out in the back row. See ya' around.
