Thanks for the link. Here is some additional Indiana specific information.
Indiana has 29,390 artists using the same methodology. This puts Indianapolis at about 1/3 of the state's total artists on a base of about 1/4 of the state's population. The percentage of the workforce figure for Indiana as a whole is 0.94%
Bloomington as 1,308 artists, which is 2.02% of its workforce. That ranks Bloomington #13 among all metros in the country in that percentage.
