Call to Artists:
The Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association (IDADA) is preparing for the second annual “First In Line” exhibition to be held on April 4 and 5, 2008 at the Wheeler Arts Community in Fountain Square. The call is open to all artists and supporters. Donations of original works of art will be included in this year’s exhibition and sale. During the event, all work is priced at $100.00 and available to visitors and buyers on a first come, first serve basis. 100% of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the IDADA general operating fund. IDADA uses these funds to promote and serve the local visual arts community. For more information on IDADA and the programs we support, visit www.idada.org.
During last year’s event, 75% of donated work sold, and we are hoping to improve our numbers this year. The opening reception for this year’s event will coincide with the April 4 “First Friday Art Tour” from 5:00-9:00pm. The exhibition will also be open on Saturday, April 5, from Noon-5:00pm. Artists interested in donating work or learning more about the event can contact Abbey Pintar at email@example.com.
