Random findings

Considering all the recent discussions on architecture and the cultural trail recently, I thought I would share this link to some interesting pic's of Soviet Roadside Bus-stops from
Polar Inertia that I happened upon by way of Eyebeam's reblog. There is something nice about the variety and playfulness of some of these designs that I find interesting while others are wonderful in their unique design.

New Blog Link:
I recently started reading another blog, Artworld Salon, that I have added to the list to the right. Written by founding members Marc Spiegler, Ian Charles Stewart, and András Szánto, has some excellent writing. Recent favorites of mine are this article about exhibition catalogs and this piece about ArtReview on myspace (while brief, follow along the comments section).

Something Odd:
Artnet offered this image, for all those who dare to view the ass of Takashi Murakami. While I do like something about these new paintings of his I don't see what this added aspect of body painting really does for them. What does his ass seriously add to these paintings? Anything? Well while you are over at Artnet, check out their piece, The "It" Factor, as several arts professionals chime in on what makes something "hot" in the art world.

About Soviet roadside bus stops-reminded me of some from my childhood, maybe not that elaborate, but interesting enough to remember. Out of posted photos my favorite is the one with white horse inside (#11)

Body painting seems so Art School Confidential. Maybe he saw that movie.
