Weekend Preview

Thursday (tonight)

Projected Film Series: 8 Women directed by Francois Ozon. Brought to you by iMOCA and presented at Radio Radio. A delightful murder mystery by director Francois Ozon. Not only does this film have a feel of an Agatha Christie story, it also breaks into musical numbers throughout making each scene a surprise. And what a cast! Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, Virginie Ledoyen, Ludivine Sagnier, and more. Doors at 7 pm, movie at 8 pm. Special thanks to OtC's Scott Grow for helping organize this. $3, 21 and up please.

Friday night

  • Group show at Dean Johnson Gallery featuring the work of Vessel Ruhtenberg, Chris Foster, Brandon Judkins, Brian Carpenter, Travis James and Jason Boyer.
  • Stay on Mass Ave that night for the fall gallery walk.
  • John Clark's pLopart: art and literary party, 7-10 p.m. at Big Car Gallery North at Invoke Studios
  • Harrison Center's work (which actually opened last week but was not complete) should be up and running full strength.
  • Diane Simpson: Sculpture + Drawings at Herron

  • More movie madness. Please join OnTheCusp and iMOCA at Landmark Theatres in Keystone at the Crossing for Matthew Barney's Drawing Restraint No. 9. Barney and Bjork come together in this exquisite tale of love and hardship..... Forget all that. Barney and Bjork - 'nuff said. Drinks at 4:00 in the bar at the theatre (and believe me, we'll all need a beverage or two before this one). Film starts at 4:45.

This has been thrown together really quick, sorry. Comment and what's been missed...
