Sculpture Stolen from Herron School of Art
Do you like this story?
Katrin Asbury's sculpture of the Goat and Monkey was just stolen from Herron, apparently it's feet were broken at the base. If anyone has any information, please call the police and/or Herron.
This piece was part of the Herron Sculpture Invitational, which included 15 sculptors of both regional and international fame including Tom Sachs, Wim Delvoye, and Greg Hull among many others.

Sad to hear. Such things are the reality and effects of a growing city and awareness, promotion, and display of public art.

Well I gotta give it up for another pessimistic article in this town. I don't blame them. I get like that too.
If you want to create a large audience for the arts in this farming state, you better get started by educating kids about it. That is if the people who are teaching them have any interest them selves. I don't think is going to happen right away, but if we are lucky the next generation will have more interest.

Bad news isn't really the same as pessimism.
