Drawing Restraint 9 has crossed the Pacific recently and was screened at MOMA. If there are any Matthew Barney fans still out there, you can check out reviews from The Village Voice and Art Fag City.
Quoting Ed Halter (of The V.V.) - "an unsatisfying marriage of excessive production values with insipid cinematography and flat-footed editing. Showing little of its titular quality, Restraint delivers yet another plodding nonsense-rebus of esoteric symbolism with the profundity of a Bloomingdale's window display."
Oh I can't wait to see this one. I could use another good nap like I had during Cremaster 3...
